Xbox wants to improve the audio quality of groups of friends | XboxOne

This is good news for those who spend time with their friends online, since the Xbox teams are currently testing a new option that optimizes audio quality in voice chat.

Soon noise reduction option on Xbox

As usual, the new option is being rolled out first to members of the Xbox Insider program, and more specifically to those at the Alpha Skip-Ahead rank. The option has been available since the beginning of the week.

We’ve enabled a new feature that will process your microphone input through a noise suppression stage to help produce cleaner audio in your Party Chat session. The setting is enabled by default, but can be adjusted from the options drop-down menu.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a good Xbox headset, so this feature is welcome at a time when many also use these groups of friends to chat in the evening while playing different games.
