Microids and developer OSome Studio now have the first Smurfs game
for October announced that The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf is called. The title appears for PlayStaion 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
This time around, the evil wizard Gargamel discovered a formula in his dark laboratory that he can use to create an evil plant called Vileaf. This plant produces Viletrap seeds which Smurfs automatically attract and lock them in plant traps. These nasty viletrap plants are also a great danger to the forest, as they are particularly poisonous for the sarsaparilla fields.
To avoid this dire disaster, Papa Smurf and some of his fellow Smurfs decide to find the ingredients for an antidote strong enough to eradicate the vileaf once and for all and cure the plants affected by the curse. An Ace Smurf team consisting of Hefty, Smurfette, Brainy and Chef awaits a brand new adventure that can be played in turns to complete this mission.
You can help them with this search and use an extremely practical tool, the Schlumpfizer, a revolutionary invention by Handy Schlumpf. The Smurfizer allows the Smurfs to get rid of the enemies they encounter and to heal the plants affected by the vileaf. This special equipment also makes it easier for the heroes to explore the different environments in the game, be it in the forest, in the swamps or even in the most dangerous place of them all: Gargamel’s laboratory.
The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf appears
on October 25, 2021.
Update: As Microids announced, the release in Europe will be postponed to November 5th, just a few days later. The PS5 version is also planned for 2021.
Instead, the Collector’s Edition for the last-gen consoles was canceled because of logistical problems. The complete statement can be found below:
