The Russian representative office of Google filed a lawsuit for its own bankruptcy

LLC “Google” has filed an application with the Moscow Arbitration Court for its own bankruptcy, writes Forbes.

The company announced the beginning of bankruptcy proceedings in May.

Earlier, the Arbitration Court arrested the assets and property of the Russian representative office of Google for a total of 1.5 billion rubles in several claims from TV channels.

The arrest of the Google Russia bank account made it impossible for the office to operate in Russia, including the preservation of employees and their salaries, as well as the fulfillment of other financial obligations.

Google will continue to work, but will not show ads in search and on YouTube, and will also disable all paid services in Russia. [Forbes]
