Rumor: Battlefield 2042 postponed to 2022, insiders say

Apparently a postponement of Battlefield 2042 at which it is currently suspiciously quiet anyway. The shooter is not supposed to be released until next year, although there are contradicting statements here.

Neither a beta test nor anything else has been communicated so far, which is why one taps on problems in the development that should make a postponement inevitable. That this will be announced soon, at least the insider Jeff Grubb believes, who initially suggested a postponement of a major title on Twitter and later in a Discord chat Battlefield 2042 referred.

At the same time, the year 2022 was named as the new release window, while others have also heard of a postponement, but this should only be a few weeks. What, if anything, will ultimately be true remains to be seen.

Confirmation this week?

So it’s not official yet, but it would in fact be a drastic and painful postponement for EA and DICE – and of course for the players. Hopefully we will soon find out whether this is actually the case, probably this week.

In Battlefield 2042 the world stands on the brink. Resources and water shortages have driven countless countries into chaos and triggered the largest refugee crisis in human history. These non-patriated or no-pats include families, farmers, engineers and soldiers. In the midst of this crisis, the United States and Russia are plunging the world into global war, while no-pat specialists on both sides fight not for a flag, but for the future of all homeless people in this new world.

For the first time in Battlefield history, 128 players can simultaneously experience the full extent of the war on the next-gen consoles. This gives you the chance to participate in large-scale battles where anything can happen. Experience an even more spectacular and bigger war on seven huge maps with constantly changing combat conditions and gameplay challenges.
