Cyberpunk 2077 Senior Quest Designer Patrick Mills has posted a series of tweets from his personal Twitter handle. In them, he talked about his approach to creating quests in Cyberpunk 2077. According to the developer, he likes to create stories with open and ambiguous endings, but he also knows how players feel about it.
When people talk about my quests in CP77, they usually like them but also mention the lack of definitive conclusions in them. Probably related. But I also like to frustrate players with ambiguity.
Or maybe I’m just making excuses for my inability to stick the landing.

Apparently, it was Patrick Mills who created the side quest chain associated with Jefferson Perales, the candidate for mayor of Knight City. The final quest in this storyline leaves plenty of room for thought regardless of the choices the player makes.
