How many electronic devices are connected to the sockets at home? Many, perhaps too many. Managing the number of outlets turned on in your home can help reduce all of them electricity consumption resulting from the “standby” modes of TVs, microwave ovens, computers, consoles, printers and the like.
Of course, the standby consumption is low but if we add up all the devices that remain on in the house we realize that we are wasting energy. A smart plug, programmed or remotely operated, can interrupt the flow of power to devices when they are not needed.
