Drive Unlimited Solar Crown review: release in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC | Xbox One

Officially announced in July 2020, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is highly anticipated by fans of the franchise. Going after Eden Games’ excellent opuses is not an easy thing and the Kylotonn Games studio seems to be aware of this since it has just announced the postponement of the game.

One year postponement

Originally scheduled for release on September 22, 2022, the game has been postponed to 2023, without us having been given a specific new date. The reasons for this postponement are that the teams need more time, in particular to bring a “touch of polish” to the game.

If this announcement is certainly a disappointment for the fans, it is not necessarily surprising since we had not yet had the right to any image of the game and that the communication around the title could not be more discreet. As a reminder, the game will offer in particular to criss-cross the streets of Hong Kong on a 1:1 scale aboard overpowered cars and will highlight the rivalry between several clans.

Other information, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown will ultimately not be released on Xbox One and PS4. Officially, the game will therefore be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.

We obviously wish good luck to the teams and we hope that they will manage to offer a game that meets expectations.
