Among Us: PlayStation version is a long time coming - developers deliver update

“Among Us” will be released in 2021 for the PlayStation consoles.

A few months ago, the multiplayer hit “Among Us”, which had already been released for the PC, the Switch and the mobile platforms, was also announced for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, respectively.

After it was suspiciously quiet about the PlayStation versions, the players naturally asked themselves whether “Among Us” will find its way to the PS4 and PS5 as planned this year. The responsible developers at Innersloth provided clarity in the context of a current status update. As they say, the PlayStation versions will take a little longer than originally expected, but nothing has changed in the planned release this year.

Developers promise full implementation

Innersloth developers stated: “We are still on the right track for the console release this year, albeit later than originally planned. Since the next update is more than just a simple patch and (hopefully) will introduce two big changes to the game, and to make sure it is up to date and compatible on ALL platforms – PC, mobile, console – this means that even more stumbling blocks will come our way. ”

On the subject: Among Us: Fortnite’s impostor mode pissed off the developers

“Our ideal release date was September. But we ultimately postponed it because we didn’t want anyone who purchased the game on Xbox or PlayStation to have a sub-optimal experience and get obstacles put in their way. (See why I haven’t given you a date yet? I have to be 100 percent sure before we share this information!) Thank you for your patience! “

The complete status update on the development of “Among Us” can be found on the official website.
